Moving into your apartment can be a whirlwind of emotions. A new place is so exciting, but with all the various things you need to get, it can all get a bit confusing.
When I moved into my first apartment, I was ecstatic. I loved having a place I could decorate however I please, and truly, when the place is yours the options are endless!
With all the glory of getting a new place, I did run into a few hiccups. The oven in my kitchen always stopped working or smelled like it was burning. After a few months of having the problem, I finally gave up. BUT I only gave up because I had one of the best kitchen appliances that changed my life.
Some kitchen appliances are an investment, but they are completely worth it, and you will have them forever. I am so happy with everything I got for my kitchen and hope you will be able to get a little inspiration from reading this post!

1. Cuisinart® 4-Slice Toaster
If you love bagels, bread, and everything good in the world, then a toaster is a necessity. This is the exact toaster that I have and I love it! It’s perfect and gets the job done.
I know that there are so many smart toasters out there (with touch screens and everything, they’re basically iPads) but they’re insanely expensive and at the end of the day, you just want something that will toast your bread well!
2. Mini Smart Oven
This smart oven saved my LIFE when my oven stopped working. Honestly, when the whole disaster happened I was barely phased because I prefer this toaster oven over a regular oven.
The toaster oven is much more compact than a regular oven and therefore bakes (and toasts) everything so much faster than a regular oven. I have cooked salmon, baked brownies, and toasted bagels all in this little thing. Can’t get over how amazing it is. Highly recommend!
3. Keurig K-Mini Single-Serve K-Cup Pod Coffee Maker
For those of you who love a good coffee in the morning, but want something easy and fast (don’t worry I’ve added an amazing coffee maker in this post as well), this Keurig is perfect for you.
If you don’t know what a Keurig is, it’s basically a coffee maker with little k-cups (coffee pods) that you just place into the coffee maker, press a button, and everything is done for you! Every single drink you can think of has been made into a k-cup so you really can’t go wrong with this coffee maker! From tea, to Starbucks coffee, to hot cocoa, this thing does it all!
4. KitchenAid Ultra Power 5-Speed Hand Mixer
If you are in a tiny apartment and don’t have enough space for a gigantic standing mixer (don’t worry I can totally relate), then this hand mixer is perfect for you.
I grew up making cookies with my mom in our KitchenAid standing mixer, so getting the KitchenAid hand mixers was very sentimental for me!
The mixer is amazing and I have now been able to make so many of my favorite family recipes at my apartment!
5. Cuisinart ® 3.5-qt. Slow Cooker
Okay, I am a HUGE fan of slow cooker recipes and highly recommend getting one if you are someone always short on time, but still want a delicious meal (I mean who doesn't?).
This slow cooker is fantastic - I love the meals I’ve made in them. For almost every recipe I basically throw the ingredients in before work in the morning and around 5 PM, I come home to my apartment smelling amazing and the best meal ever.
6. NutriBullet Pro Plus Single-Serve Blender
Another one of my absolute favorites. I went through a phase where I swear I made Nicecream (banana smoothie that tastes exactly like chocolate ice cream) every day.
This blender is amazing and I prefer it to regular large blenders because most of the time I’m making single-serve recipes and large blenders need a large number of ingredients in it to blend well (hope that makes sense haha). I love this blender and it’s perfect if you are tight on space!
7. Instant Pot
If you haven’t heard of an Instant Pot, let me introduce it to you. The Instant Pot is basically a high-speed cooker that gives you some of the same effects a slow cooker would but in 20 minutes.
This is perfect for chicken recipes or baked potatoes, I mean the options are endless but the people who love it, LOVE it. You can go on Pinterest and see thousands of amazing recipes perfect for this appliance!
8. Always Pan
The Always Pan is, I’m pretty sure, the most hyped about cookware item of the year! I have heard so much about this product and the whole premise is, it basically does everything you could want: fry pan, saute pan, steamer, skillet, saucier, saucepan, non-stick pan, spatula, and spoon rest.
Made from recycled materials you can feel like you’re doing your part to save Mother Nature with this bad boy. Also, if you are tight with space, it’s perfect to fit your needs!
9. Vegetable Chopper
A life-changing item, this vegetable chopper is one of my ultimate favorite kitchen products of all time. If you want to save time, cry less (shout out to you onions) and get the perfect diced cubes, this vegetable chopper is amazing and needs to be added to your kitchen.
I heard about this from one of my favorite Instagrammers (@livingwithlandyn) about two years ago and have not been able to live without it since. I have gotten so many people to buy this for themselves and honestly might start giving it as a Christmas or birthday present.
10. 2-in-1 Oven and Toaster
For those of you tight on space, I wanted to give you a 2-in-1 option that meet more than one of your needs; this toaster oven contraption is genius and I think super handy in a small kitchen. I love that I can find apartment kitchen appliances that meet more than one of my needs!
11. Ninja Professional Plus Blender
Although I love my bullet blender, I also have a large blender and this is it! This blender has an insane feature that I have never seen before, it can legit warm and boil whatever your blending; may sound weird but for soup this is genius. However, my ultimate favorite feature of this blender is it self-cleans, AMAZING right?
12. Coffee Maker
For those of you who are not really into the Keurig cups, this coffee maker is fantastic and will be perfect for you. Honestly, I am not a huge coffee maker, so I got down-and-dirty and did some hardcore investigating and found that this coffee maker is supposed to be amazing.
I obviously recommend you do your own research as well, but from what I have found, this seems to be the best coffee maker out there!
13. Breville® Juicer
This is a little extra, but if you are a lover of juicing (have you tried celery juice?) then this is the perfect juicer for you! The Breville is highly rated and perfect for your early morning juice.
I am a lover of ginger shots and I found this juicer is the best way to make them!
14. Vitamix Blender
Okay, I do not have this blender, however, I dream of having this blender and will be purchasing it when the right time comes. Vitamix’s are a splurge but are so worth it and are the best blenders on the market. I am a follower of a bunch of vegans on Instagram and they are always raving about this blender (I guess Vegan’s love blenders haha). I freak out when I go to a friend's or family's houses and they have this! So, if you have the money you should definitely get this blender.
15. Cuisinart Food Processor
Food processors are amazing and fantastic if you are a lover of cooking. I tried to take my parents' food processor, hoping they wouldn’t realize, and got as far as the kitchen door, lol.
Food processors are amazing, but only really necessary if you are planning on cooking in your kitchen, otherwise, they will be a waste of space.
