Every Tuesday night, my girlfriends and I get together to play games and gossip/vent about our lives. It's one of my favorite nights of the week and is just good for the soul.
I'm a strong believer in girls nights AND I'm a strong believer in having some reallll good appetizers to serve. These three apps are my go-to's. You can basically assume that if you invite me over or come over to my apartment, that you will be getting one of these :).
You can get these ingredients for super cheap. I always try to go to Aldi's for apps because you can put it together for so cheap.
If I don't serve one of these, I'll usually just get some fresh salsa and put it in a cute dish. I actually always try to serve my appetizers on cute dishes because I feel like it just takes it up a notch. HomeGoods by far has the best serving dishes that are cheap.
I'm telling you, this is one of the best appetizers you'll EVER have. If you can find freshly made bruschetta, you're in business. I used to be able to find fresh bruschetta at Meijer's and Aldi's and maybe it's seasonal, but I can't find it anymore. I've been making it fresh which actually isn't that hard, but pre-made would be easier. DON'T get the canned bruschetta though...it's not good.
The kicker to this bruschetta being so good over all other bruschetta you'll have in your life (haha im serious) is the cheese mixture and the balsamic reduction/honey on top.
2. Hot Bean Dip
This appetizer my go-to for any sports parties. Any football or basketball game, you can guarantee I'm bringing this.
It's not a pretty appetizer at all but it is sooo good. I could eat the whole thing on my own haha.
I found this recipe back in high school (!!!) and have been making it since. I'd love to take credit for this recipe because it's so dang good but it's actually from Lil Luna. You can find the recipe here.
3. Pesto Flatbread
This is probably the most popular recipe on BSL. It's delicious and makes such a good appetizer. Honestly, this is even a good meal.
You usually can find flatbreads like this at any grocery store but I know that Aldi's and Trader Joe's for sure has these flatbreads.
You can customize these any way you want. I know I have gotten some dm's of people adding spinach and other delicious things on top of this!
