apartment christmas decor

It's the most wonderful time of the year for all of you Christmas lovers out there!

Listening to Michael BublƩ's Christmas album while decorating with friends and family creates some of the most memorable moments (I recommend also having hot cocoa... it's the cherry on top). But, I also find choosing the holiday decor just as exciting.

With so much Christmas content out there, I wanted to put together a roundup of some of my favorite apartment Christmas decor; that way, you hopefully won't have to be searching ideas for hours!

I hope you find some inspiration and Happy Holidays!

This post shows you the best apartment Christmas decor.

The first thing you see when you walk into your home is your doormat, so why not make it festive?

Christmas time is the one time of the year where it's completely acceptable to be cheesy, and you cannot get better than this doormat!

2. Entryway Garland

Recreate this apartment Christmas decor:

Garland is one of our favorite apartment Christmas ideas because it can be added in so many different areas and gives the perfect festive touch. Garland around the door frame makes any space seem so much more grandeur.

I love the way the garland frames the doorway!

3. Christmas Lights

The epitome of Christmas decor, some may say, is Christmas lights. Honestly, the more, the merrier which is why we love this apartment Christmas idea.

Super simple, super impactful. Your hallway will never look brighter!

4. Small Touches

If you have a smaller apartment and not a lot of extra space to decorate, try finding those spaces you may not normally think to decorate, such as hooks!

Add a holiday quote and some garland, and this small area already looks ready for the holidays.

CHRISTMAS DECOR IDEAS: LIVING ROOM

5. Festive Prints

A festive print makes such an impact on a space and is very easy to put up and takedown.

If you are struggling to decide on a color palette you want to use for your decorations, start with wall prints and use that as your inspiration!

6. Christmas Garland

Garland is not just for the walls! Laying festive garland on top of your TV console, or mantel, is a simple and sweet way to decorate your apartment for Christmas.

You can also play around with the type of garland, it doesn't always have to be greenery! This red and white ball garland is so simple, yet adds the perfect festive touch to this apartment space.

7. DIY No-Tree Christmas Tree

If you have no room in your apartment for an actual Christmas tree, I highly recommend trying this alternative DIY one!

This garland tree is easy to adhere to your wall with command strips, and you can personalize it with pictures of you, your friends, and your family.

8. "Merry Christmas" Banner

If you are running out of time, throwing a cute "Merry Christmas" Banner on your mantel will do the job. This is super easy and very cost effective... win-win!

9. Decorative Sign

Letterboard signs are fantastic because you can customize them to any occasion! These are great to have year round because you can really change it to work with any season. Even if it's not a holiday, you can add an inspirational quote!

If you have the time and energy to every day, switch the Christmas quote then more power to you.

10. Plaid Throw Blanket

A festive blanket completes the holiday space if you ask me. Throw blankets and pillows are easy ways to add a holiday touch to your decor, especially if you don't have room for a full blown Christmas tree.

11. Fa La La Bar Cart

Recreate this apartment Christmas decor:

Every bar cart needs some holiday styling, and how cute does this one look?!

Start with a festive quote or picture and some garland and go from there. This is another area in your apartment that you could add a small Christmas tree if you don't have room for a full one.

12. Deck the Halls Bar Cart

Another bar cart because I couldn't resist! You can do so much with a bar cart and it's a small enough space where you're not too overwhelmed.

I love how this one incorporated some gold accents in the trees below and lights.

CHRISTMAS DECOR IDEAS: BEDROOM

13. Small Christmas Tree

Jingle bells can be used as decorations as well!

If you are a gold girl, this jingle bell garland is perfect for you. I am definitely considering copying this one in my apartment this year!

CHRISTMAS DECOR IDEAS: KITCHEN

21. Window Framing Garland

Recreate this apartment Christmas decor:

You do not have to go out and spend $500 on decor to make your apartment holiday festive.

Focus on areas you spend the most time; this is especially important if you're on a budget.

22. Mini Wreaths

Recreate this apartment Christmas decor:

These mini wreaths were too adorable not to show. I love the simplistic festive look they add to space.

You could also choose to do this on your chairs as well. Personally, I would stick to just one place, so that it's not too overwhelming!
