Today's Sophomore House feature is the nursery reveal, the sweetest room in the entire house.
I was stumped on what to do with this room, wanting a wow moment without spending too much.
Initially, I had planned to turn the room into a twin girl bedroom. However, after the house was purchased, the new owners had a young baby so we switched things up.
The problem was that I had everything already envisioned for the twin girl bedroom. The switch to a nursery was a challenge for me, but it turned out to be a stunning transformation. When you enter the room, your jaw drops in amazement.
BEFORE
We bounced around so many ideas. We even came close to going for a wooden ball border at one point, which turned out to be a real "love it or hate it" thing on my Instagram š.
I had been eyeing a Sandberg wallpaper for a while, thinking it would be perfect for a nursery. When I couldn't decide what to do, I just went for it. The room has great lines for a wallpaper, with a perfect left turn and good ceiling angles.
AFTER
It's just so sweetāwhen you walk up the stairs, that's what you see.
The wallpaper named 'Caroline Moss Green' comes in different colors and adds so much character; it's neutral for a little girl or boy.
Then there was the crib. Oh, my God. I almost kept the crib because I loved it so much. It was only $150 from Wayfair. I'm obsessed with it.
Dresser | Baby Cardigan | Pearl Hanger | Frame | Basket
The dresser from Home Depot was a b* to put together š . The price was really reasonable so in the end it was worth itā¦ but I wonāt forget lol. Once assembled, it looked so cute, especially with its beautiful wood tones.
