For many, finding a headboard can be the most challenging part of furnishing and decorating a room. Headboards can go easily dismissed because they are hidden behind mounds of pillows, but without them you can almost always sense something is missing.
When I was getting ready to move into my sophomore apartment, I was ecstatic - no more dorm furniture and it was finally my time to fully decorate the way I pleased. But, like many of you out there I was stumped when it came to choosing out a headboard, not only because it is difficult, but because most headboards are crazzzyyyy expensive - I had no idea. You want me to pay $1000+ for just the backboard of my bed?! No THANK YOU. Maybe when I’m a millionaire but not while I’m a broke college student, LOL. This little pickle I was in led me to find some amazing headboard options out there that are budget friendly, which I love.
Now, before you go anywhere I want you to know, these are on the cheaper end which means they’re not going to give you that same feel your parent’s $5000 bedroom furniture did, but they will do the job and a headboard is better than no headboard.
If you are one that loves to thrift, I also recommend checking out Facebook Market for a bed frame and headboard - you might find a hidden treasure and if you don’t feel the need to buy something brand new, then don't!! We all love to help Mother Earth out when we can. 🙂
