When it comes to weddings, there are plenty of creative ways to ask your friends to be a part of your big day. My fiancé, Ben, came up with the a best idea to propose to his groomsmen, and it turned out to be a huge hit.
Asking your closest friends to be a part of your wedding is a big deal. These are the people who have been there for you through thick and thin, and you want to make sure they feel loved and appreciated on your big day. Proposing to your groomsmen is a special moment that can make your wedding even more memorable, and there are countless creative ways to do it! After sending out invitations to your groomsmen, you can go on a little adventure before the big day. Rather than settling for the same old predictable activities, why not push the boundaries and go for something completely unique? A Bristol stag do escape room experience for adrenaline-seekers looking to test their nerve and teamwork is an unforgettable way to kick things off. You and the lads will be thrown into an immersive, high-stakes challenge that forces you to work together under pressure. It’s the perfect way to bond before heading out to celebrate in style.
Ben and I spent a lot of time brainstorming ideas for how he would do it. We wanted to create something that was personal, thoughtful, and fun but wouldn’t make for an awkward guy situation. Guys are a COMPLETELY different territory than girls.
Creating the perfect proposal box takes a bit of effort, but it’s totally worth it at the beginning, but once you have the small pieces together it becomes fairly simple! Ben’s groomsmen loved their boxes, and I think it made them excited to be apart of the wedding haha.
We’ll go over all the details of how Ben proposed to his groomsmen, so you can get inspired and create your own proposal box. We’ll cover everything from where to get the materials, to how to assemble the boxes, to the final result. Whether you’re looking for a simple or super personalized proposal, you’re sure to find some great ideas here.

This post is all about groomsmen proposal boxes.
STEP 1: THE BOXES
We ordered the boxes from Amazon to create the perfect package for the groomsmen. These boxes were the perfect size and could fit the Whiskey Ben had in mind.
STEP 2: THE FLUFF
I had leftover fluff from the BSL planners, so we used that for the base layer of the box to hold the whiskey. You could purchase fluff at Michael’s or Amazon if you need it!
STEP 3: The Label & Tag
To make the proposal boxes even more special, I created a label for the box and a tag for the whiskey bottle using Canva. The label on the box read “Wood you be my Groomsman?” and the tag on the whiskey bottle read “No longer single batch.”
STEP 4: The Tape & Twine
We used double-sided tape to secure the box and twine from Target to wrap the Canva card around the whiskey bottle. The twine added a little touch to the boxes that everyone loved.

The Final Result
After securing all of the items in the box, Ben asked his friends to be his groomsmen, and they all said yes! The proposal boxes turned out to be a huge success!
