Rugs are one of the best ways to transform your space whether you're in a dorm room, apartment, or home. The only issue with rugs...they can cost an arm and a leg. Not these though ;).
I searched through hundreds and hundreds of rugs to find the absolute best rugs that give off that expensive look but are extremely affordable.
All of these were sent to my house (thank you RugsUSA for the Youtube collab) so I got to see them, feel them, and make sure they look good. I got close up pictures of each one below so you can really get an idea of what they look like.
THE BEST LOOKING CHEAP RUGS
I'm a HUGE fan of jute rugs right now. They add the perfect amount of texture to a room. I also love them for layering. This one might have a little too much going on for it to be layered but it would make a perfect solo rug.
I'm actually planning on putting this under the guest room bed. Love it!!
This was by far the most expensive looking rug...but it is the most expensive (by far haha). Out of all the rugs, this was my favorite. It's a true vintage looking rug.
This rug is smaller than the other rugs I got which makes it the perfect layering rug. I actually think I am going to layer this on top of my jute rug in my living room.
I would say this rug is probably the most different looking in person vs on the website. On the website picture, this rug looks really fluffy whereas in real life it's really flat.
I do love the look of this and it's a great dupe for the expensive version of this rug.
This rug definitely has more white in it than tan but is really cute in person. I was crossing my fingers this would work in my bedroom because I love it but the carpet made everything look really brown. This rug is so cute though and would be great in a living room!
If you're looking for a vintage rug with a pop of color, than this is it. This is another low pile rug but it looks GOOD. Like it looks like it should be that way (versus the rug above that looks like it should have a thicker pile).
This is a perfect layering rug. It is really thin so adding the extra layer on top would make up for that. I love the look of it.
When we were going through these Sarah was like, "that would make a cute picnic blanket" and I was like GENIUS. So, now, I am using it as a picnic blanket.
When I first rolled out this rug, I wasn't a fan. But then I put it in my bedroom and it looked better than all the other rugs. Plus, everyone on Instagram was going crazy over it which surprised me! I'm going to be honest, I'm still not 100% on it...but it might be that I hate my bed, the carpet, and the wall color haha.
This rug has been layered in my living room since I moved in and I LOVE IT! I was warned that the gold specs come off. Mine has slightly come off, but it doesn't look bad at all.
I've had this rug too and it is the perfect layering rug. It sheds a little bit but nothing too annoying. The two rugs on top of each other are perfection!
