Exterior Design Ideas for the Home Remodel | The Sophomore House

Here is a little sneak preview of my plans for the exterior of The Sophomore House, filled with extra exterior design ideas for you as well.

We finished all of the mood boards for each room in The Sophomore House. With all of the Presidents’ Day sales going on here in the US, I wanted to make sure we jumped on them—especially while coordinating with our home builder to keep everything aligned with the design plans! Working with Ballarat home designers has also been such a positive experience, as their expertise really helps bring our vision together seamlessly. Collaborating with Outdoor InDesign has made our outdoor spaces just as beautifully curated as the interiors. Their expertise in creating functional and stylish outdoor living areas has truly elevated the overall flow and enjoyment of our home.

I got the BEST deal on outdoor chairs which I am super excited about. Something to note, we have not received most of the items, but we discovered during the GBOGH House that so many of the items go out of stock before our projects even finish! I know it can be so frustrating if you wanted to recreate the room looks, which is why we are going to get those product links out to you sooner than later, while for decoration you can also use things like a vintage rug which is great for this purpose.

THE HARD FINISHES:

We are not really doing anything too fancy to the exterior of the house. I’m obsessed with copper gutters so that was a must for this house. Another love of mine recently has been polished nickel hardware, it elevates any space, so we’re using services like NMC Exteriors to implement simple ideas. THE SOFT FINISHES:

We have a super cute cute porch that I want to make the most of. I found these chairs on Overstock and they were crazy inexpensive (which is so hard to find when it comes to outdoor furniture). We’re going to put two of those on the right side of the porch.

The mailbox from CB2 I have used before. It’s one of my favorites (and is fairly inexpensive)! I was looking at other mail box options and nothing really compared.

I also always get my house numbers from Etsy!
