SHIRT | PANTS | SHOES | SCARF | PURSE

I love traveling and I l-o-v-e airports.

I love the feel I get when I am arriving there so excited to go wherever I am headed off too. I love seeing family and friends reunited (actually just saw a couple hardcore make out for like 5 minutes and I loled) and imagining what their story is and how long they've been apart. I honestly even love returning to the airport after a trip and being so close to climbing back in my own bed. BUT, they're a lot of things that I don't love the airport and with these tips those no-so-fun things will soon become no-big-deal.

TIP #1: DOWNLOAD YOUR AIRLINES APP

Doing this allows you to skip either printing out your boarding pass or waiting in some obnoxiously long lines to check-in and print out your boarding pass then. Once, I waited in one of these lines for an hour and it was like the worst thing ever. You can also get your boarding pass just texted to you when you check-in 24 hours in advance. This is what I did yesterday and it ended up being so easy to just go back in my messages and find it!

TIP #2: SIGN UP FOR TSA PRE-CHECK

Okay, doing this allows you to skip the long line and not have to take off your shoes. That right there is two major win-wins. This is a little tedious to do because you have to make an appointment at an application center to be cleared to do this, but if you travel enough this could make a lot of sense for you.

TIP #3: GET FREE INTERNET AT THE AIRPORT

I just learned this one today and it is amazing. For some reason I was under the impression that airports have free wifi but no, that is definitely not the case. However, if you go online and add "?.jpg" to the end of the url it allows you to go straight to the website. Pretty cool, huh?

TIP #4: IDENTIFY YOUR LUGGAGE QUICKLY

If you have a black piece of luggage, chances are there will be multiple people that have similar looking luggage to you. Nothing is worse than getting off your flight, waiting for your luggage to come, and then not being able to find it. I always include either a ribbon or luggage tag on my bag so I always know which one is mine. You can find my absolute favorite tag here.

TIP #5: EARBUDS

One of my favorite parts of flying is being able to listen to music, podcasts, or movies without really being able to do anything else. Unless you want the whole plane to hate you, you need a good set of headphones. I don't know if I just have extra small ears or something but these are the only earbuds I can wear for hours without my ears starting to hurt. All in all, make sure you bring earbuds that can withstand the length of the flight. If you're not into earbuds, this is my favorite headphone but after awhile these also start hurting my head (might be more of a personal problem than anything haha).

TIP #6: BRING AN EMPTY WATER BOTTLE

There are two things I will never understand about airports. First, why do they have Starbucks outside the TSA check and then you just have to pour it out right away?! At least thats how it is at the Milwaukee airport. Second, why do they charge so dang much for water?! One way I have been able to cut that cost out is by bringing the best water bottle and then just filling it up with a water fountain once I get past the checkin.

BTW, I love my S'well water bottle but if you're looking for a cheaper alternative this water bottle is just as amazing without the pricetag.?

AND NOW FOR THE OUTFIT:

I had a really hard time picking out an outfit to wear to the airport. Disclaimer, I am the type of person who prefers to look nicer at the airport. Why? Not sure, but it makes me feel better! This weather is hard because its so stinking hot outside but the airport and plane is freezing.

This outfit ended up being perfect for both extremes and may be my new go-to airport outfit. The shirt is my favorite v-neck because its shorter in the front (perfect for tucking) and longer in the back (covers my booty).  Plus, its only $24 dollars and comes in a ton of colors. My pants are from Topshop and fit me better than any other types of jeans I own. I like the fit so much that I have three other pairs in blue jeans form.

While these are a little more pricey, they are the only black jeans I have owned so far that haven't faded at all. My shoes are very loved and have paid for themselves over and over again. I got them from Gap a few years ago and have reached for them every season since. I just checked there website and they have the same slip-ons in cheetah print.

If you have followed my outfits this summer you will know I am so into my animal prints right now! I think I may have to run to Gap tomorrow for those ones ;).  My scarf I got as a christmas gift but I know they have almost identical ones at H&M.  Lastly, this purse is from Nordstrom and is my favorite because of how big it is. However, sometimes its too big and can be annoying because I lose my stuff in that big open space.
