I have the perfect little appetizer for you to bring to Fourth of July grill-outs, or to bring on a boat or parade wherever you're going! I did not come up with this! I stumbled upon this appetizer idea on Pinterest and it's so simple and cute that I just had to share.

To make this Fourth of July appetizer, you'll need the following ingredients:

  • Fresh blueberries
  • Watermelon
  • Grill skewers
  • Star cookie cutter

HOW TO

Here's how to make it:

  1. Thread fresh blueberries onto the grill skewer until you have as many as you want.
  2. Cut the watermelon into pancake slices.
  3. Use the star cookie cutter to cut out star shapes from the watermelon pancakes.
  4. Thread the watermelon stars onto the skewer with the blueberries

And that's it! It's such a family-friendly appetizer that's perfect for any Fourth of July celebration. But, if you're like me and want to make it a little more adult-friendly for boat trips or other occasions, try soaking the skewers in a type of alcohol. I'm still trying to figure out what type of alcohol to use, so if you have any suggestions, please share them in the comments below!
